Our global client working within Philanthropic Fundraising Services in science and research is hiring for a Director of Prospect Research to lead their prospect development function. This includes overseeing both prospect research and management to support the organization's fundraising goals in support of the Institute.

The Director plays a key role in identifying and assessing potential donors, tracking fundraising progress, and providing data-driven insights to optimize our donor engagement strategies. This position works closely with fundraisers and leadership to ensure a robust donor pipeline and efficient use of prospect management tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead prospect research and management strategies to support fundraising goals
• Collaborate with fundraisers to identify and qualify new donor prospects
• Facilitate portfolio reviews and strategic planning discussions
• Develop and implement policies for prospect management and data integrity
• Train staff on research tools and ensure consistent use of data systems
• Apply best practices in analytics, modeling, and reporting
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality and ethical fundraising practices

What You Bring

• 7+ years of progressive experience in prospect research and management
• Post-secondary education in library science, information management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency with online prospecting tools and databases
• Strong understanding of donor behavior, philanthropy, and financial analysis
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative, service-oriented approach with the ability to work independently
• Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT is a strong asset
