A leading real estate development and construction firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of complex commercial and industrial projects in Calgary. In this role, you'll take ownership from the design development phase through to construction and tenant turnover - ensuring every build hits the mark on time, budget, and quality.

You'll be part of a tight-knit team that values proactive leadership, clear communication, and execution without shortcuts. If you're someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands construction at both the ground and executive level, and knows how to manage both consultants and contractors with authority and respect - this is the right role for you.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading projects from early design through construction and turnover
  • Selecting and managing contractors, consultants, and technical teams
  • Overseeing budgets, tender packages, schedules, and contracts from start to finish
  • Coordinating permitting, site logistics, and compliance
  • Driving collaboration across internal development, leasing, and finance teams
  • Acting as the main point of contact for site activity, construction quality, and delivery timelines
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings, design efficiency, and schedule optimization
  • Maintaining detailed reporting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle

What You Bring:

  • 8+ years of experience managing construction projects - ideally commercial, industrial, and/or retail
  • Strong experience in full-cycle project delivery (design-build, site coordination, permits, handover)
  • Skilled in budgeting, scheduling, and construction contracts (CCDC familiarity is a plus)
  • Adept at leading consultants through the design and drawing phases
  • Strong relationships with local trades and industry professionals
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Tech-savvy: comfortable working in cloud-based construction tools and reporting systems
  • A high degree of accountability and ownership mindset
