Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Global MSAT - Process Data Management, ML & AI Platform
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Agentic AI Systems Engineer to support a global digital transformation initiative focused on building Generative AI applications that automate data management and analytics across manufacturing and quality operations. This role plays a critical part in the Game-Changing Digital Capabilities program, aiming to develop scalable solutions that bring intelligence and automation to biopharma process data analytics.
You will collaborate closely with teams across Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT), Automation, Digital, and Quality functions to define, develop, and deploy intelligent AI agents and machine learning applications, built on modern cloud and AI infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build Agentic AI systems using LLMs (Large Language Models) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain) to automate manufacturing and quality data management tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather analytics and automation requirements, including MSAT engineers, automation specialists, and data governance leads.
- Create data contextualization pipelines by mapping process parameters to data sources such as MES, PI Historian, LIMS, and iShift systems.
- Develop and deploy AI applications using cloud-native tools such as Snowflake, Sanofi OneAI, Power BI, Python, and AWS services.
- Contribute to data standardization efforts, leveraging data engineering best practices and cloud data infrastructure to ensure robust, scalable, and reusable solutions.
- Build integrations with platforms such as vector databases, SIMCA, SIMCA-online, PI Vision, and GitHub-based MLOps pipelines.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven experience in building Agentic AI capabilities with an emphasis on LLM-driven autonomous systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Large Language Models (LLMs) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, vector databases).
- Proficient with Snowflake for data analytics and pipeline development.
- Experience deploying AI applications on AWS Cloud infrastructure.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with version control (e.g., GitHub) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with biopharmaceutical manufacturing data systems such as MES, PI Historian, LIMS, and iShift.
- Exposure to JMP, SIMCA, or other statistical analysis tools used in process analytics.
- Knowledge of data management standards, regulatory compliance in pharma, or GxP environments.
- Understanding of MLOps pipelines and CI/CD for ML model deployment.
