About the Role:

We're supporting a large Canadian bank in their effort to meet regulatory deliverables tied to operational risk and internal controls. The client is seeking multiple junior analysts to assist with control testing and documentation review across key operational groups within their Capital Markets business.

This role is well-suited for detail-oriented, motivated individuals who are eager to contribute in a fast-paced environment where expectations are clear but flexibility and initiative are key. No technical skills are required, though some understanding of internal processes, operational controls, or banking environments will help you ramp up quickly.

What You'll Do:

• Support testing of business processes and controls by working with process documentation and stakeholders from operational groups.
• Assist in reviewing procedures, SOPs, and process maps to evaluate if controls are properly documented and functioning as intended.
• Work with provided templates and test scripts to record outcomes (e.g., pass/fail/needs evidence).
• Engage business contacts to request and review documentation and evidence to support testing activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to stay on top of deadlines, manage assigned controls, and escalate roadblocks where needed.
• Maintain and organize testing outputs clearly and consistently for review.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in an operations, audit, compliance, or controls-related role.
• Familiarity with business processes, documentation, or risk/control frameworks is helpful.
• Experience in financial services or capital markets is an asset.
• Strong communication skills-especially when engaging internal teams to request documentation or clarify processes.
• Comfortable working in Excel and with structured templates.
• High attention to detail, ability to stay organized, and proactive attitude.
