Hays Specialist Recruitment is currently seeking a Project Administrator to join our client's team immediately within the public sector. This will be a 3-month contract in Vancouver. This is a full-time role from Monday-Friday. It will mostly be in-office but will have some flexibility to work partially remotely.
Your new role
We are seeking a highly organized Project Administrator to support various cross-functional teams in supporting projects efficiently. This role requires strong Excel and SharePoint skills, as you will be using these tools daily to track project progress, update documentation, and maintain the company website.
The ideal candidate will have previous project experience in a transferable setting, demonstrating an ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing company contracts and documentation, ensuring compliance across departments.
- Assist in project coordination across legal, procurement, and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for project tracking and reporting.
- Utilize SharePoint daily to manage project documentation and collaboration tools.
- Support contract management by editing, tracking, and organizing legal agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Regularly update the company website with relevant project-related information.
- Coordinate communication and documentation between stakeholders.
- Provide administrative support to ensure smooth workflow within teams.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous project experience in a transferable setting (e.g., administration, legal, operations, procurement, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.
- Experience using SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
- Proficiency in contract editing, tracking, and organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
