We're Hiring: Senior Power BI Developer Consultant (Onsite - Calgary)

Location: Calgary, Alberta Onsite Required

SDK Tek Services Ltd. has secured a major client win and we're looking for a Senior Power BI Developer Consultant to join our growing team. While we proudly serve clients across Canada, this role is Calgary-based and requires onsite presence to support the customer effectively.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Power BI Consultant who thrives on solving complex business challenges with elegant reporting and data solutions. You'll work closely with customers to design high-performing dashboards and reports using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, while contributing to broader data platform modernization initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build interactive Power BI dashboards backed by Fabric and Azure data models
  • Develop complex DAX measures, calculations, and reusable semantic models
  • Translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions
  • Work with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Databricks as part of integrated solutions
  • Optimize performance across large datasets and complex relationships
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders to present, deliver, and support solutions
  • Follow best practices in BI development, documentation, and governance

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on Power BI experience, including DAX and Power Query
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, visualization, and dashboard design
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, and Databricks is preferred
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Experience in the energy/utilities sector or enterprise environments is a plus
  • A collaborative, problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
