About the Opportunity

• Verify and maintain standard costs for raw materials, packaging, semi-finished, and finished goods in SAP.
• Update and adjust standard costs quarterly, ensuring they reflect current market and production conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive product cost analysis to support annual pricing reviews, new business quotations, and equipment investment decisions.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and report on key cost drivers to provide insights for operational and financial performance improvement.
• Produce detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to inform managerial decisions.
• Work with the Director of Supply Chain and cross-functional teams to review and adjust material standards and routings.
• Partner with the Engineering group to help justify new equipment investments based on production cost analyses.
• Collaborate with the Information Management team to optimize SAP costing modules and streamline financial reporting processes.
• Prepare product cost analysis for Commercial Operations to provide annual price increases to customers.
• Utilize quotation models to provide product cost estimate and analysis to Commercial
• Operations and Business Development supporting quotations of existing and new business.
• Review of departmental expense analysis, focusing on key variances, cost drivers and explanations, including liaison with functional managers.
• Produce reporting to support effective decision making including monthly process order analysis, GSOR report, consignment and other key accounts analysis. Compute and analyze manufacturing variances and review with manufacturing personnel, providing timely and meaningful cost accounting information and analysis for manufacturing.
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including cost allocation, accruals, and journal entries.
• Support the annual financial audit by providing cost analysis documentation and detailed variance explanations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lean initiatives within cost accounting and reporting functions.
• Support management team in identifying opportunities and implementing solutions in streamlining accounting and reporting processes to increase accuracy.
• Provide backup support to the Sr. Financial Analyst as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field along with a CPA designation is required
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on standard costing and variance analysis

Salary Range
$90,000 - $100,000/year
