Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer to join our clients Global Banking Applications team. This role is ideal for motivated, adaptable, and passionate individuals looking to get involved in unique and large-scale projects. This role will require strong middleware performance engineering to optimize the performance of banking applications and ensure efficient money movement across channels. The qualified candidate must be hands-on, flexible, and agile, capable of managing multiple deliverables. The role involves working closely with both onshore and offshore teams, including developers and other performance engineers. The position is onsite 3 times in a week in Downtown Toronto and will be a 12 month contract with extensions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Middleware performance engineering.
- Work on various tech-driven changes and initiatives, adapting to the scope of performance requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to manage busy release schedules, gather requirements, and ensure performance standards are met.
- Proactive and organized to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously, keeping projects moving forward using Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore development teams, participating in PI planning and daily stand-ups.
Must-Haves:
- 7-10+ years of in depth and hands on middleware performance engineering experience, specifically in Java environments.
- Excellent technical skills in MuleSoft for database management.
- Proficiency in Java programming.
- Excellent communication and a demonstrated ability to handle complex technical challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Kanban, to manage multiple deliverables.
Plusses:
- Experience working in enterprise level Banks or Financial Institutions with banking applications.
- Understanding of global banking applications.
