We are looking for a Senior Store Design and Construction Coordinator to join an international retailer in Toronto.

Permanent position, full time.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of store design strategies aligned with global standards;
• Create detailed design documentation, including schematic drawings and guidelines;
• Oversee on-site development and ensure proper execution during construction;
• Deliver timely and effective communication of design intent to contractors;
• Act as the main liaison between developers, design agencies, and construction teams;
• Coordinate internal and external designers to produce construction documentation;
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in design and construction;
• Establish timelines with input from cross-functional collaborators;
• Ensure project teams are informed of key milestones and respect delivery deadlines;
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to optimize store openings and layouts.

Profile:

• 5 years of experience as an architect at design firm or designer at retail company;
• Degree in Architecture, Construction Engineering, or a related field;
• Demonstrate the ability to manage projects with minimal oversight;
• Experience in retail architecture or interior design (an asset);
• Communicate clearly and confidently with both internal teams and external partners;
• Excel in visual, written, and verbal design communication; proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD;
• Show strong skills in solving problems and making sound decisions;
• Stay available to address project issues during or outside standard hours;
• Translate individual store strategies into practical and innovative design solutions;
• Maintain a wide professional network and facilitate smooth stakeholder coordination;
• Willing to travel across Canada as required.
