We're currently seeking a motivated Event Assistant to help us deliver high-impact international conferences and large-scale expos in Canada and beyond.
About the Role
As an Event Assistant, you'll support the planning and execution of a wide range of professional events-including international academic conferences, industry networking summits, and high-traffic public expos. You'll work closely with our experienced team to coordinate logistics, communicate with stakeholders, and help create seamless and engaging event experiences for our delegates, vendors, and attendees.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the end-to-end coordination of conferences, trade shows, and public expos
- Liaise with speakers, vendors, sponsors, and venue teams to ensure smooth operations
- Support registration, scheduling, and event documentation processes
- Contribute to on-site execution-including setup, guest check-in, and troubleshooting
- Coordinate internal communications and timelines to keep projects on track
- Provide post-event support, including feedback collection and reporting
What We're Looking For
- Based in or near Surrey, BC (required)
- 1-2 years of experience in event management, coordination, or hospitality (preferred)
- Strong communication skills-particularly fluent spoken and written English
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Comfortable multitasking and working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude and ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency with MS Office or Google Workspace; experience with event or CRM tools is a plus
