Job Description:

Our high profile retail client with National operations has created a new position to work as the right hand to the National Payroll Manager. They are looking for an experienced Payroll professional who can oversee the demands of a complex corporate office including and assisting in the management of a payroll team.

The responsibilities of the Assistant Payroll Manager is as follows but not limited to:

  • Effectively oversee the day-to-day payroll demands of a complex Corporate office environment, coordinating payrolls across multi provinces in Canada
  • Ensure all Corporate employees are paid timely and accurately on a biweekly basis
  • Maintain ADP payroll databases for Canada including new employee set up and updating all employee changes
  • Work with HR to ensure all new hires and terminations are processed on time and correctly
  • Prepare, review and submit ROE's to ensure all information is correct
  • Lead, mentor and support a busy team of payroll administrators, demonstrating strong team building and motivational skills

    Job Requirements:

  • PCP or CPM designation preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of full cycle payroll processing experience, 3+ years of which is in payroll management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current payroll tax laws in multiple provinces
  • Strong knowledge of ADP , Kronos and Workforce Now ( WFN ) preferred
