The Company:
You would be working for a leading provider of electrical solutions for power transmission and distribution, specializing in smart grid technologies, automation, and equipment like switchgear and transformers. Their focus is on improving grid reliability, safety, and efficiency for utilities and industries.
Job Description:
- Develop and implement sales plans, manage forecasts, and maintain a healthy pipeline to meet targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and identify new business opportunities.
- Lead the bid process, including pricing, proposals, and coordination with engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Provide technical support through project planning, equipment specification, start-up, and commissioning phases.
- Deliver presentations, conduct client meetings, and represent the organisation at industry events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales efforts and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide regular reports and sales updates.
- Stay current on product developments and market trends, offering insights to guide strategy.
- Travel as required to support projects, customer engagement, and business development.
Desired Characteristics
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sector, including project bidding, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Strong understanding of medium voltage power systems, particularly switchgear applications.
- Track record of exceeding sales targets and developing new business in technical or engineering-led industries.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and complex deal negotiation.
- Organised, self-motivated team player, adaptable in fast-paced environments and willing to travel as required.
