MISSION

The Digital Product Designer is a detail-obsessed designer with a strong visual design sensibility and a passion for execution. You'll be responsible for building high-quality, production-ready interfaces within established design systems. You'll be hands-on in Figma, collaborating closely with developers, and ensuring every pixel hits the mark.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves the nuts and bolts of design-bringing interfaces to life with precision and polish-while always keeping the user front and centre.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Functional

  • Design and maintain robust, reusable components and UI patterns in Figma
  • Partner with engineers to ensure accurate implementation and design fidelity
  • Deliver clean, consistent, and user-friendly designs across web and mobile platforms
  • Uphold and extend the design system to maintain visual and interaction consistency
  • Always advocate for the customer, ensuring that designs not only support business goals but are deeply rooted in user needs
  • Bridge the gap between stakeholder requirements and intuitive, functional user experiences
  • Contribute to design critiques and iterate based on feedback
  • Own executional details, edge cases, and responsive states
  • objectives while reducing costs and increasing standardization and leverage across existing solutions.
  • Ensure the execution of team deliverables and adapt team priorities based on changing needs
  • Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes
  • Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs
  • Embrace and seek out technology that creates high-tech and high-touch solutions for Indigo's customers
  • Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them

  • 3rd party online service providers, such as agencies, vendors, freelancers

Qualifications

Work Experience / Education / Certifications

  • 2-4 years of professional digital design experience
  • Portfolio that demonstrates excellent UI design craft, usability thinking, and attention to detail
  • Degree in a related field

Competencies / Skills / Attributes

  • Expert-level Figma skills, including components, auto-layout, and libraries
  • Strong visual design craft: typography, spacing, colour, and hierarchy
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and layout principles
  • Ability to turn complex product requirements into simple, elegant, and usable UI
  • Familiarity with usability heuristics and a basic UX research mindset
  • Comfortable working with developers, with a basic understanding of HTML/CSS
