Content Strategist

Approx 4 month contract, 35 hours/week

Rate: $30-36/hr.

Fully Remote

Position Overview

The Content Strategist will develop and implement effective content strategies that engage target audiences, enhance brand visibility, and drive conversions. This role requires a blend of creativity and analytical skills to produce high-quality content that aligns with business goals and meets the needs of our audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute content marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct audience research to understand target demographics and content preferences.
  • Optimize content for SEO to improve visibility and search rankings.
  • Create and manage editorial calendars for content production and publication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, Design, Research, Brand & Communications, and Product Engineers, to ensure brand consistency and effective messaging across all platforms.
  • Analyze content performance metrics and adapt strategies based on insights gained.
  • Conduct content inventories and audits, and document content plans and engage stakeholders throughout projects.
  • Manage content campaigns from inception to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with marketing goals.
  • Conduct keyword research to inform content creation and optimization efforts.
  • Support the development of message frameworks, taxonomies, content migration plans, content workflows, and governance guidelines.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure high quality and adherence to brand standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of content strategy experience, or a combination of content strategy, and content design / ux writing experience in a product-focused environment.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with content performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of UX design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience using tools including Pendo, Chameleon, Appcues, Figma, JIRA, Confluence, Courier, Maze, Airtable.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with audience research and segmentation strategies.
  • Knowledge of branding principles and campaign management.
