Responsibilities
- Makes cold calls and in person visits to customer
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts, as applicable
- Negotiating price and landing projects as well as reviewing contracts for accuracy
- Oversee estimating for the project; request vendor quotes and accurately price all sections of a project
- Oversee accurate ordering/sourcing/itemizing of materials for project in a timely manner; be aware of general contractor's/customers schedule
- Oversee on-time scheduling/install of materials for project; Oversee prompt billing and ensure accuracy with contract and change orders issued; assist in collections by communicating with general contractors/customers and resolving issues.
- Lead/Conduct lunch & learns to educate customers on new products, industry trends and technologies.
- Conduct face to face contractor/customer visits, based on classification of End Users, Electrical Contractors, Consultants, Architects and Engineers into priority account groups.
- Achieve maximum sales profitability (margin) and growth within assigned market segment as assigned by Branch Manager
- Assess client's needs and recommend the appropriate products and services.
- Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers
- Maintain active with industry specific associations relevant to the security industry e.g. - ASIS, BOMA.
- Maintain bid log of quoted work as well as a Sales pipeline
- Coordinate and run regular project meetings with support staff as required
- Provide exceptional customer service; build relationships with industry members
Qualifications
Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role; Completion of university degree or college diploma in related field or equivalent experience an asset; Additional courses and continuous knowledge upgrade are encouraged.
Required Skills
- Electronic Access Control, hardware, software and CCTV product knowledge and experience required;
- Knowledge of building code requirements pertaining to life safety, security and electronics;
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, and electronic specifications pertaining to Security;
- Cost and project management;
- Strong negotiation skills;
- Excellent organizational skills, and strong attention to detail;
- Diagnostic and problem solving ability;
- High level of commitment and accountability to get the job done;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, with limited supervision.
