Overview
We are looking for a 309A licensed electrician in a supervision role to support the ongoing maintenance, installation, and servicing of specialized automated machines used in the logistics and transportation industries. The successful candidate will be based within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario with ability to perform travel to other areas of Canada or the United States for projects when required. Project work happens at various customer sites throughout the year, and non-site work occurs on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week in Mississauga office and 2 days from home.
This role involves ensuring the ongoing delivery of services by executing on the following duties and responsibilities:
-Coordination and supervision of electrical workers on projects
-Reading blueprints and drafting plans using AUTOCAD
-Reviewing and making necessary plan changes to drawings/schematics
-Participating in customer meetings and providing communication and reporting between stakeholders
-Testing, maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical systems in machines
-Ensuring proper electrical safety procedures are upheld on work sites
-Supporting the commissioning of PLCs
-Up keep of records and preventative maintenance system for installed equipment
Standard work days are Monday to Friday regular business hours. Overtime is paid per Employment Standards and will occur when projects require after hours activities. Compensation will range from $48-55 per hour based on candidate's relevant experience. Requirements
-309A licensed electrician or red seal equivalency
-Valid passport and driver's license
-Ability to read schematics and create drawings using AutoCAD software
-Background in automated machinery with experience troubleshooting, maintaining industrial electrical systems.
-Available for travel outside of Toronto area when required
-Previous team lead/supervision experience with demonstrated leadership qualities
-Fluent in verbal and written English
-Ability to speak and write in French is an asset
-Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada
