JTS Mechanical is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to process bi-weekly payroll and complete all facets of payroll duties. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a great attitude to our current team dynamic. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll systems and experience with NetSuite and/or Payworks.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Participate in integration of new payroll system Payworks.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for salary and hourly employees (100 employees)
- Process adjustments, ROE's, T4's, remittances
- Maintain employee records in systems, ensuring all information is up to date.
- Reconcile payroll accounts for accuracy - monthly
- Ensuring compliance with federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3-years processing payroll
- Experience in using accounting software such NetSuite an asset
- Payroll certificate (PCP)
- Strong experience with Microsoft (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Mechanical Systems industry an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Must be able to work 8 - 5pm, M - F
