Position Overview

Calian is seeking a Bilingual Junior eLearning Developer for a short-term, on-site contract at CFB Kingston, supporting innovative training solutions for the defence sector. In this role, you will create engaging, SCORM-compliant eLearning content, troubleshoot course issues, and collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery across various platforms and devices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging eLearning modules using tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate
• Ensure courses are SCORM-compliant and function properly across Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to course functionality and deployment
• Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and project stakeholders to align content with learning objectives
• Support the integration of multimedia elements, including audio, video, and graphics
• Assist in the testing and quality assurance of eLearning products
• Maintain accurate documentation related to course development and updates
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Fluency in both French and English (oral and written)
• Diploma or degree in a related field such as Instructional Design, Multimedia, Education Technology, or Computer Science
• Experience developing SCORM-compliant eLearning using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online course deployment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience working with HTML/CSS is an asset
• Previous experience in a defence or government environment is considered an asset

Additional Requirements

• You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
