Project Manager - Warehouse Automation
Location: Toronto, Canada / Remote (North America)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead projects in the warehouse automation sector, focusing on racking systems for shuttle systems, mini-loads, and automated storage/retrieval systems (ASRS). This role involves managing projects ranging from $1M to $15M, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project execution, while leading site teams. The position offers flexibility with remote work and occasional travel required for project site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage warehouse automation projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget for automation solutions, including racking systems for shuttle systems, mini-loads, and ASRS.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage a site team of one direct report, ensuring all project objectives are met.
- Regular reporting to senior management on project status, risks, and issues.
- Utilize project management tools to track milestones and ensure the overall project's success.
- Manage projects with budgets ranging from $1M to $15M.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct project management experience within warehouse automation or construction sectors.
- Qualifications: Engineering degree (required) and PMP certification (preferred).
- Background: Experience with ASRS, shuttle systems, and racking solutions is highly preferred.
- Languages: Fluent in English.
- Previous Roles: Project Manager, Site Manager, or similar roles in automation or construction industries.
- Personality: Motivated, detail-oriented, and a problem-solver with a collaborative approach.
- Key Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in the context of automation project management.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel required to project sites across North America.
