My client, a notable & established landscape architecture and urban design firm in Toronto, is looking to hire an experienced Proposal Specialist for their team. The firm is known for its innovative and sustainable designs that enhance the natural beauty of outdoor spaces. Whether it be public or private projects, their focus is to create meaningful spatial experiences that connect people to their environments, addressing social, cultural, and economic aspects

Your New Role

As a Proposal Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the business development efforts of the firm. You will be responsible for crafting compelling proposals that showcase the firm's expertise and vision. Your ability to communicate effectively and persuasively will help the firm new projects and partnerships. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create detailed and visually appealing proposals for potential clients, highlighting the firm's capabilities and past successes.
  • Conduct thorough research on prospective projects and clients to tailor proposals to their specific needs and preferences.
  • Work closely with their design and project management teams to gather necessary information and insights for proposals.
  • Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with the firm's branding and messaging.
  • Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and submissions are timely.
  • Engage with clients to understand their requirements and address any questions or concerns related to proposals.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of prior experience in a similar role is required.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, preferably within the architecture or landscape architecture industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and independently with minimal supervision.
