About the role

We are on the hunt for a new Account Executive to join our highly collaborative, fun and dynamic team!

As the Account Executive you will manage the following:

Renewals, plan reviews and market surveys

  • In partnership with the Advisor, review, analyze and negotiate annual renewals
  • Complete and finalize client reports including renewal reports, marketing specifications and reports, benchmarking, quarterly/semi-annual financial updates
  • Assist in the selection of an insurance carrier by analyzing the insurance carriers' proposals and preparing marketing reports for clients
  • Analyzes client plan designs and underwriting structure

New group plan implementations

  • Facilitate carrier transitions and new group implementations, including securing documents and historical data from providers and reviewing all application and new plan documentation for accuracy
  • For larger/complex groups - meet with the carrier and/or client weekly to discuss project timelines and ensure target dates are met (where applicable, lead the weekly meetings)
  • Prepares employee communications for clients
  • Ensure that all target dates/deliverables are met
  • Review new carrier administration procedures with the plan administrator (accompany any insurer representative for any online or face-to-face training)

Attend (and if appropriate, lead) employee and plan administrator meetings

Special projects

  • Assist in development and preparation of unique reports
  • Analysis of client information/statistics
  • Benefit plan reviews/benchmarking
  • Update/develop client and internal reports and tools in partnership with Advisors
  • Assist client with acquisition and divestiture needs as it relates to benefits plan
  • Prepare employee communications

Client service

  • Responsible for all client deliverables including those delegated to a Service Representative
  • Assist with escalated claim and administration inquiries

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Must possess LLQP Life Insurance license (or willing to obtain within 6 months of start date)
  • CEBS courses an asset
  • Strong group benefits and insurance background (preferably in a brokerage or consulting environment). Experience with group retirement products an asset
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills; with advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility and adaptability; ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time position in a remote work setting (with some in-office requirements)

Job Hours: Thirty-five (35) hours per week, seven hours (7) per day, Monday to Friday

Location: Vancouver, BC

Start Date: As soon as possible

Posting and Closing Date: Open until filled

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 (dependent on experience)
