Your new role

Take the lead in overseeing the operations and management of paste and filter plants within the dynamic mining sector. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all activities comply with stringent engineering standards, regulations, and safety protocols. By efficiently managing and allocating resources, you will drive optimal project execution, ensuring that every aspect runs smoothly and effectively.

You will be instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction strategies that align with and meet the project's ambitious goals and objectives. Your leadership will foster a culture of collaboration and effective communication among the engineering, procurement, and construction teams, ensuring seamless integration and teamwork.

Additionally, you will define scope requirements for functional teams, meticulously ensuring that all areas of scope, cost, and schedule are thoroughly addressed. Your strategic oversight will be crucial in delivering successful project outcomes and advancing the company's position in the industry.

What you'll need to succeed

• 8+ years of experience with management of paste and filter plants within the mining sector
• Bilingual (able to communicate with clients and stakeholders in English and French)
• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline. (Project management qualifications highly regarded)
• Registered with the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ)
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience managing the operations and management of paste and filter plants within the mining sector
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects
• Leadership qualities to motivate and guide engineering, procurement and construction teams
• Collaborative skills to work with functions and other areas in scope delivery
• Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and evaluations
