Position: Bilingual Business Development Representative
Location: Montreal, QC
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 annually + potential commission/bonus
About the Role
We're seeking a bilingual and proactive Business Development Representative to join our sales team. This role blends both inside and outside sales efforts, including occasional fieldwork. You'll be responsible for growing client relationships, managing the sales process, and helping to strengthen market presence in the safety and industrial solutions space.
Key Responsibilities
- Balance 75% inside sales with 25% outside sales (approximately one day per week in the field)
- Manage sales activities using a CRM platform, including tracking leads, follow-ups, and opportunities
- Proactively reach out to new prospects and handle inbound inquiries
- Conduct product demonstrations and customer training-both virtual and in person
- Prepare quotes, coordinate product samples, and manage proposal submissions
- Collaborate with internal teams on client programs and national account support
- Build and execute strategic prospecting plans to develop new business opportunities
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions and sales activities
Qualifications
- College or university education
- 3-5 years of experience in sales or sales support
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business relationships
- Fluent in French (required); English proficiency is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Skilled with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or in a team
- Industry experience in safety products or B2B distribution is a plus
