Backed by experienced operators and prominent investors across private equity, family offices, and permanent capital landscapes, the firm is focused on acquiring and scaling vertical software companies across North America.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Business Development / M&A Origination Manager with 2-5 years of experience in deal origination or software sales. You'll report directly to the Head of Business Development and work closely with the CEO and Investment Committee, taking full ownership of sourcing, qualifying, and nurturing potential acquisition opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead outbound origination efforts by identifying and connecting with potential software acquisition targets
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Build relationships with founders and C-suite executives in the software space
- Collaborate with the investment team to advance opportunities from intro to LOI
- Track outreach metrics and performance KPIs (e.g., meetings, NDAs, LOIs)
- Contribute to market research, sourcing strategy, and vertical prioritization
- Represent the firm at conferences, networking events, and industry engagements
- Help build and scale the business development function over time
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in M&A origination, deal sourcing, or B2B software sales
- Proven outbound prospecting skills - confident, strategic, and tenacious
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
- Entrepreneurial, coachable, and hungry to learn and grow
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in private equity, consolidators, or vertical software is a plus
- Comfortable with CRM tools and pipeline management
Compensation:
- Base + bonus + equity upside
