Role Description
We're hiring our first Head of Sales to develop and refine the sales process from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in uncharted territory, knows how to navigate enterprise sales, and is excited to shape the trajectory of a growing SaaS company.
You'll own everything from sales strategy to execution, working closely with our founders, clients, and cross-functional teams to bring Data Front's solutions to the right people at the right time.
Responsibilities
- Build the Sales Process: Develop the sales process and structure for Data Front in financial services, from planning territory coverage to onboarding the right sales tools.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Drive new customer acquisition and expand existing relationships, leveraging your knowledge of the enterprise sales cycle
- Engage Executive Stakeholders: You'll speak confidently with CIOs, CMOs and Heads of Data, Reporting, to pinpoint business needs, present solutions, and negotiate strategic partnerships.
- Forecast: Own the pipeline, accurately forecast, and provide transparent reporting to the executive team.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to develop and execute sales strategies that align with Data Front's overall goals and objectives.
- Win Deals: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at financial services and investment management firms to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition. Support your team in closing critical opportunities while teaching them to prioritize strategically for consistent success.
- Leadership: As we scale, you'll recruit, coach, and manage the sales team-fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and overachievement.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of B2B enterprise selling, preferably selling into financial services.
- A track record of selling into banks, insurance firms or asset management.
- Ability to spark meaningful conversations about integrating AI and fund reporting into customers' workflows, either through prior hands-on use or by collaborating with technical specialists.
- Masterful at pitching solutions and closing deals from the first discovery call to final contract. C-level dialogues don't give you stage fright.
- Excited about being the first sales leader in a rapidly evolving environment. You're someone who sees a blank slate and thinks, "Let's do this."
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and acquiring new customers
- Consistent track record of achieving quota.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent prospecting skills and the ability to train others to generate pipeline.
- Strong financial and business acumen with a high degree of comfort engaging with technical leaders internally and externally.
- Ability to travel 25%-50%.
