About the Role:
As an Account Director at Havas Health Toronto, you'll lead client relationships, mentor a talented team, and ensure our work not only meets expectations-but exceeds them. You'll play a key role in delivering strategically grounded, creatively excellent, and business-driving campaigns across multiple health and pharma brands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive Client Success (40%)
- Develop deep knowledge of assigned drug brands, therapeutic areas, and market dynamics
- Lead strategic communications planning and campaign execution
- Build trusted client relationships and identify opportunities to add value
- Manage budgets, timelines, and ensure smooth internal workflows
- Track revenue forecasts and proactively manage project financials
2. Team Leadership & Development (20%)
- Mentor and support team members in their growth
- Provide clear direction and regular feedback
- Develop annual performance plans with each team member
3. Champion Creative Excellence (15%)
- Collaborate closely with Creative, Strategy, and Digital teams
- Ensure briefs, estimates, and timelines are well-defined and aligned
- Help craft and sell through CBIs that push brands forward
- Uphold strategic and creative quality throughout execution
4. Grow Existing Business (15%)
- Identify and pitch new opportunities within current client portfolios
- Collaborate across departments to create compelling sell stories
5. Support New Business Efforts (10%)
- Contribute to pitch strategy, development, and presentations
- Help shape winning narratives and bring fresh thinking to the table
Team Management:
Direct reports may include Account Supervisors/Managers and Project Managers.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in client services/account management in a healthcare or pharma agency setting
- Strong working knowledge of PAAB
- Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and leadership skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
