Join Peterson, a Vancouver-based real estate company committed to investment, development, and property management, where you'll help shape sustainable and well-designed communities while creating lasting value.

Your New Employer

Peterson is a long-established, values-driven real estate company with deep roots in Vancouver and a growing footprint across BC and beyond. The residential team self-manages a diverse portfolio of purpose-built rental assets and is focused on delivering exceptional tenant experiences while maximizing property performance and long-term value. The team is collaborative, close-knit, and committed to raising the bar in professional property management.

Your New Role

As Director, Asset Management (Residential), you'll lead strategy and execution across Peterson's growing rental portfolio, including stabilized and new development assets such as the soon-to-launch Revolve building. Reporting to the SVP, Sales & Marketing and collaborating with internal leadership, you'll be responsible for maximizing NOI, enhancing asset value, and delivering exceptional operational and tenant outcomes.

Your role blends high-level planning with hands-on leadership. You'll prepare and execute annual business plans, monitor asset performance, and oversee budgets, forecasts, and capex planning. You'll evaluate third-party service providers, implement operational best practices, and ensure consistent delivery across a range of residential communities. You'll also manage lease-up strategy, tenant experience initiatives and work closely with marketing and development teams to position new buildings for success.

You'll lead a core team at the head office, foster a high-performance culture, and help shape the future of the Peterson Rentals platform. This includes standardizing procedures, implementing tech tools, and supporting ESG and sustainability goals. You'll also provide ongoing mentorship, develop internal reporting dashboards, and guide performance benchmarking and KPI tracking.

This is an ideal role for a leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels-someone with strong financial and management acumen, hands-on experience in multi-family assets, and a desire to influence one of Vancouver's most active rental portfolios.

What Sets You Apart

You're a senior property or asset management leader with 8+ years of experience and a track record of success managing multi-family residential assets-ideally purpose-built rental communities. You understand the dynamics of Vancouver's rental market and have experience launching new residential assets with modern amenities and high expectations for service.

You've directly managed teams, led through growth and transition, and know how to balance hands-on operational oversight with long-term strategic planning. You're financially savvy, with experience overseeing budgets, forecasts, and business plans, and you use data and KPIs to drive performance and accountability.

You hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Urban Land Economics, or a related field and a valid Rental Property Management License in BC. Proficient with property management systems like Yardi, you also bring comfort with reporting tools and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Above all, you're a thoughtful, collaborative leader who communicates clearly, acts with integrity, and is motivated to contribute to a growing platform with a meaningful long-term vision.

What You Can Expect

This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role within a high-potential portfolio at a pivotal moment. You'll be joining a respected firm with the resources to invest in its people and its product. You'll be trusted to lead, supported to grow, and encouraged to bring fresh ideas to the table. This is a rare opportunity to take on a meaningful leadership role within a respected and growing real estate company. You'll join a tight-knit, high-performing team where your input is valued and your expertise will directly influence business outcomes.

You'll gain exposure to a wide range of projects, from stabilized operations to ground-up developments, with the ability to shape not only building performance but also team culture and platform direction. You'll work alongside experienced and collaborative leaders who are invested in your growth and will support you in bringing fresh ideas and strategic improvements to the table.
