Manufacturing Engineer Planner
About the Role
ODRA Road Sweepers is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer Planner to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, optimizing, and supporting key manufacturing processes while ensuring consistent documentation, smooth implementation of engineering changes, and alignment with lean production principles. You will play a vital part in improving production efficiency and supporting cross-functional teams in a dynamic and multicultural environment. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, evaluate, and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Investigate and explore new materials, equipment, and technologies to support process innovation.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for process-related issues on the production floor.
- Lead capacity studies, time studies, and process flow analysis to support planning and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and maintain essential documentation such as process flowcharts, standard work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate across departments to implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) accurately and efficiently.
- Support the rollout of new processes or equipment by training production teams and ensuring successful adoption.
- Stay current with advancements in process engineering, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma best practices.
- Work effectively in a multicultural, cross-functional team environment to support production planning and process alignment.
- Prepare documentation and apply for patents.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an Engineering or Technologist role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD for design and documentation.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 tools for reporting and planning.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
