Electrical Procurement Specialist

Your New Role

The Procurement Specialist (PS) will play a critical role in efficiently procuring electrical components/materials and other necessities for projects and company operations to maximize profitability. The selected candidate must excel in building strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Immediate sourcing and developing supplier relationships
• Providing timely market insights
• Leading urgent negotiations
• Developing reports and assisting estimators in obtaining project pricing
• Assisting with the rapid development and training of our procurement systems
• Supporting the Finance (Accounts Payable) team, Estimators, and PMs.
• Managing inventory efficiently

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Minimum 2 years of experience purchasing electrical components
• 3-5 years of procurement experience for large-scale construction projects in Canada
• Proficient in supplier management and stakeholder management
• Skilled in purchasing and expediting electrical parts and materials, including wires, conduits, EMT, electrical boxes, and conduit pipes for building electrification
• Experienced with the purchase order (PO) cycle
• Proficient in Excel
• Assertive communication skills
