Reporting to the Director, the Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the successful execution of construction projects from initiation to completion.

Primary Scope of Role :

  • Ensures project is constructed according to design, budget and schedule.
  • Ensure project adheres federal, provincial and local safety/environmental legislation and acts.
  • Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, labour, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control.
  • Manage construction project subcontractors including contract agreements, performance, schedule, costs, safety and quality control.
  • Interfaces with project team and related third parties.
  • Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed.
  • Prepare estimates related to project scope changes.
  • Supervises, provides guidance and assesses performance of direct reports and other team members.
  • Oversees project closeout.

Position Requirements :

  • A P. Eng. or a C.E.T. designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in civil construction projects (Earthworks, Road/Paving, Structures (bridges), underground utilities).
  • Experience in managing all aspects of road building, asphalt, structure and construction projects.
  • Experience with ICI projects is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
  • Familiar with project management and estimating software programs.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
