Are you a strategic, people-focused HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? This is a rare opportunity to join the only Canadian facility of a global manufacturing powerhouse-a jumbo plant with 1,000+ employees, one of only three in North America.
We're searching for a Human Resources Business Partner who can drive the business through HR, not the other way around. This role is critical in supporting the plant's operational goals through collaborative leadership, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
About the Role:
- Reports to: VP of HR (based in Michigan)
- Direct Reports: 6 (Generalists, Payroll/Benefits, Training, and an On-site Nurse)
- Workforce: 1,000 employees Non-unionized Diverse & bilingual
- Industry: High-volume, fast-paced manufacturing (food & beverage preferred)
- Compensation: $160,000-$165,000 base + up to 50% bonus
- Language Requirement: Fluency in French and English is a must
- Location: On-site role in Canada
What You'll Be Leading:
- Full HR strategy execution at a flagship plant
- Succession planning, coaching, and development of HR team
- Supporting cross-functional leadership (operations, engineering, logistics)
- Navigating cultural dynamics and fostering collaboration
- Driving process efficiency and cultural alignment post-transition
Who You Are:
- A seasoned HR leader with experience in large manufacturing environments
- Proven track record in coaching, team building, and succession planning
- Comfortable managing change, solving ambiguity, and aligning HR with business strategy
- Experienced in non-union environments, ideally with union avoidance exposure
- Bilingual in French and English, able to build trust across multiple layers of the business
- Ideally has experience in food/beverage manufacturing and/or multinational operations
