We are currently raising $5M through equity crowdfunding to accelerate our expansion.

Now, we are seeking a high-impact, results-driven Senior Investor Relations Associate to drive our fundraising efforts and manage investor relations.

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Investor Relations Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our relationships with current and potential investors. You will communicate effectively with investors, provide updates on the company's performance, and support our equity crowdfunding campaigns. You will strategize, launch, and manage crowdfunding campaigns that connect our innovative projects with enthusiastic investors.

This is an impact-driven, high-visibility role that requires creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of digital media trends. You'll be at the forefront of shaping how we communicate with our users, industry stakeholders, and the broader ethical investing community.

Please note: This is a demanding role requiring significant time commitment due to the nature of investor relations and global fundraising. Candidates must be prepared to work long hours while engaging with investors across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies tailored to diverse investor demographics, including equity crowdfunding campaigns, campaigns targeting accredited investors, and initiatives to raise funds from venture capital firms.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and launch of diverse fundraising campaigns, ensuring each is optimized to meet the goals of different investor groups and aligns with Musaffa's strategic objectives.

Investment Attraction:

  • Proactively identify and engage potential investors, including equity crowdfunding backers, accredited investors, and venture capitalists.
  • Conduct meetings and pitches to secure investment, ensuring a robust pipeline of funding opportunities from various sources.

Investor Relations Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all investor communications, including equity crowdfunding participants, accredited investors, and venture capital firms.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with current and potential investors, providing regular updates on campaigns and overall company performance.

Content Development:

  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of all investor-related materials, including investment memos, pitch decks, and promotional content.
  • Manage content creation across various platforms, ensuring consistent and effective communication tailored to different investor groups.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze the company's financial data and market trends to prepare insightful presentations for potential investors.
  • Develop financial models and valuations to support and illustrate investment opportunities, appealing to both crowdfunding participants and sophisticated investors.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that all investor relations activities comply with relevant securities laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on legal changes affecting crowdfunding and private equity investments, ensuring compliance in all communications and operations.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance the visibility of investment campaigns.
  • Engage in public relations efforts to boost investor interest and support campaign success, focusing on both broad market and niche financial communities.

Monitoring and Performance Analysis:

  • Track and analyze the performance of investment campaigns, leveraging data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Report on campaign metrics and investor feedback to senior management to inform decision-making.

Post-Campaign Management:

  • Manage post-campaign activities, including investor onboarding and ongoing communications.
  • Ensure the delivery of investor rewards or equity, maintaining high standards of investor satisfaction.

Crisis Management:

  • Handle the communication strategy during financial or other crises affecting the company.
  • Ensure clear, accurate, and timely communications to mitigate any negative impact on investor perception.

Strategic Relationships:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key players in the venture capital and accredited investor communities.
  • Organize and attend networking events and investor meetings to expand Musaffa's visibility and attractiveness to high-profile investors.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field from a top-tier university (must be from a Top 25 university). ; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Professional Certifications: CFA designation strongly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in investor relations, with a proven track record in leading equity crowdfunding campaigns and managing relationships with accredited investors and venture capitalists.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 CAD per annum
  • Performance-Based Bonus: Based on individual performance metrics and achievements
  • Equity: Eligible for Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after 6 months, with additional equity for exceptional candidates
