JOB STATEMENT:
Guardian Capital is looking for an Operations Analyst. Under the guidance of the business team and utilizing strong requirements-gathering skills, the candidate will assist in implementing operational projects and addressing Day 2 items.
The ideal candidate will be a meticulous planner and expert communicator who can turn plans into actionable steps using established methodologies. Additionally, this individual should be dedicated to discovering and developing innovative solutions in a constantly evolving environment that prioritizes continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Use project and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to work with the business to help describe and analyze requirements for defined and not well-defined issues;
- Determine and develop user requirements to ensure business needs and requirements are fully documented for all relevant teams;
- Drive awareness and review requirements across relevant teams;
- Work with the business as a champion of continuous improvement to improve systems processes and develop training material;
- Work with the business to help improve and recommend ongoing controls for substandard systems processes;
- Work with the business to help create and implement Day 2 plans and operational projects, with attention to transparent communication at all levels;
- Become a subject matter expert of Private Wealth's complex systems to help drive continuous improvements after Day 2 plans and operational projects are complete;
- Assist in establishing a regiment of continuous improvement to reduce costs and create efficiencies;
- Author and update relevant internal and external documentation; and
- Perform additional tasks and duties as required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Project coordinator and/or Lean Six Sigma (green belt) experience
- Python applications build and maintenance (replace Access databases)
- Significant experience using Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Loom)
- SSRS reports building
- Advanced abilities in Microsoft products
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree or equivalent
- Two to five years of work experience in the financial services (preferable private wealth)
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage complex tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
