We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Developer Network Specialist to join one of our major clients, an international bank based in Montreal.
Job Overview:
The Cloud Senior Developer will be part of a globally distributed team based in Montréal and Paris, responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining a secure Microsoft Azure public cloud platform supporting various business lines.
This role blends platform engineering, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure expertise, with a strong emphasis on network architecture, automation of network services, and troubleshooting complex connectivity issues in Azure. The platform team manages critical components such as Azure Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, Gateways, and Load Balancers, ensuring secure and scalable connectivity across the enterprise cloud landscape.
The role involves working extensively with Terraform and Bicep to automate network provisioning and configuration, supporting consistent and secure deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure networking components (VNets, subnets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Gateways, Load Balancers, etc.) in accordance with enterprise security and compliance standards.
- Automate the provisioning and configuration of network services using Terraform and Bicep enabling scalable and repeatable infrastructure deployments.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex network connectivity issues in Azure, including inter-VNet communication, DNS resolution, service access, and hybrid connectivity scenarios.
- Support project teams during their onboarding to the Azure platform, with a specific focus on network design validation and best practices for secure connectivity.
- Maintain and improve existing CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and tested delivery of infrastructure components.
- Build and share reusable infrastructure templates and code samples to accelerate cloud adoption across internal teams.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, and developers to design end-to-end solutions that meet performance, security, and availability requirements.
- Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing related to Azure networking and automation standards.

- Security & Identity: IAM, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Azure Policies
- Containerization & Orchestration (Nice to have): Kubernetes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with the Azure ecosystem, with a focus on networking components
- Proven experience in network automation using Terraform and Bicep
- Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Good grasp of cloud security concepts (IAM, RBAC, policies)
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container platforms
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bilingualism (English/French)
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical certification
Other:
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model with 3 days on-site per week in Montreal.
- Candidate must be located or willing to relocate to Montreal for this role.
