Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk

$80,500-$105,000 (based on experience)
Our client is looking to hire an experienced law clerk specializing in commercial real estate. The role is Monday-Friday (7.5-hour shifts, flexible start between 7-9 AM) with a 4-day workweek option available. The company offers 3 weeks vacation, fully covered medical/dental/vision (after 3 months), on-site gym, and free parking
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and finalize retail and commercial lease agreements
- Ensure lease compliance and accurately document all terms and conditions
- Act as a point of contact between landlords, tenants, and legal teams
- Prepare and register Notices of Lease, Discharges, Estoppels, and Tenant Acknowledgements
- Conduct legal research and provide interpretations of lease agreements
- Maintain precise legal records and reports
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate law with a focus on retail leasing
- Strong background in lease negotiations and Canadian real estate law
- Proficiency in Teraview and lease registration procedures
- Excellent drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills for lease agreements
- Must pass criminal and credit background checks
- Strong communication and organizational skills
