Austroid Corporation is an innovative privately owned global clean energy company committed to building sustainable, integrated clean energy that captures the full value of the supply chain. We are currently developing lithium resources across global locations, with projects in Canada, Australia, Brazil, and Argentina. The company has a long-term strategy to develop mineral refinery and battery manufacturing in the USA.
Our Projects in Quebec include the Chaloneau Exploration Project which is the company's main project and is located approximately 125km north of the town of Chibougamau, Quebec, Canada and is accessible year-round by the Route-du-Nord.Made up of 117 claims and covering approximately 57km2, the project surrounds Sayonás Moblan Lithium Project.
Austroid has acquired three other projects: the Manicougan Exploration Project covering approximately 436km2, the North Mistassini Exploration Project covering approximately 427km2, and the Mitshisso Exploration Project covering approximately 114km2.
To assist with this activity, we are seeking two experienced Exploration Geologist for a 4 month period, commencing in June, to undertake prospecting, mapping, and sampling activities in remote field environments in Quebec
About the role
Reporting to the Exploration Manager you will work closely and collaboratively with the Austroid team, and be responsible for:
- conducting systematic prospecting, geological mapping and sampling in designated field areas.
- Work in coordination with Austroid's field leadership team to execute planned tasks.
- Follow all safety and environmental protocols and procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience with remote exploration in Northern Canada, along with the following:
- Bachelor's degree from a recognised tertiary institution in Geology
- Be an experience Exploration Geologist with a minimum of 4 to 8 years' experience in mineral exploration and at least 3 years of hands-on field experience in the Canadian wilderness.
- Working knowledge of GIS software (QGIS or ArcGIS)
- Be self-motivated, well organised, and able to manage own work, and that of the team, to achieve agreed outcomes
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Sound awareness of safety and environmental requirements, procedures and protocols.
