Job Description

Telna is looking for a Data Architect to join our Technology team. This hybrid role blends

strategic architecture responsibilities with hands-on data engineering. You will design, build, and

optimize scalable data infrastructure that powers business intelligence (BI), analytics, and

operational data flows across the organization.

This is a high-impact role where you'll be responsible for both setting the vision for our data

architecture and implementing the pipelines, models, and tools that turn data into actionable

insights.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, cloud-native data architectures that support BI and

operational analytics.

Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and

frameworks.

Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data.

Create and maintain data models to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced

analytics. Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Ensure data reliability, security, and governance across the data lifecycle.

Develop integrations for real-time and batch data ingestion from internal and external

systems.

Build automated data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting processes.

Implement and support BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to enable self-service analytics.

Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and best practices to evolve Telna's

data platform.

Experience & Skills Required

5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a combined role.

Proven experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Proficient in SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Spark,

Kafka).

Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.

Experience designing for BI reporting and working closely with business teams.

Familiarity with real-time data processing and streaming frameworks.

Strong hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

Solid grasp of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical

stakeholders.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
