We're seeking a highly experienced Cesium Developer for a contract role to help us push the boundaries of 3D visualization technology. This is a remote position open only to candidates located in Canada.
If you have expert-level Cesium skills, a strong background in visual optimization and shader development, and a passion for handling massive geospatial datasets, we'd love to talk to you.
Location
- Remote (Canada-based applicants only - mandatory)
Scope of Work
- Redesign the core data processing pipeline for displaying extremely large datasets (BIM models, GIS layers, point clouds, Gaussian splats, and 3D tiles) in Cesium.
- Optimize rendering so the system remains usable even on low-spec computers.
- Create and integrate custom shaders to meet complex visibility and rendering goals.
- Develop advanced tools, such as multi-dimensional cross-sections and other high-end interaction tools for geospatial and BIM data.
Qualifications
- Exceptional, expert-level Cesium knowledge - better than "advanced."
- Long history of Cesium development, with a strong focus on optimization and large dataset management.
- Demonstrated experience in performance-tuning and visual optimization in Cesium environments.
- Strong shader development skills.
- Comfortable working independently and delivering results on a tight, milestone-driven schedule.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and physically located in Canada during the contract.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with GIS data formats, BIM workflows, and modern data streaming techniques.
How to Apply
