About this role:

The Director, Quality Assurance and Control is responsible for developing and implementing the vision and strategy for enterprise-wide quality excellence.

Reporting to the SVP, Global Supply Chain and Operations, this role leads a team of quality leaders and experts and ensures that Svante's quality management systems are efficient and that they have the right structures and processes in place to meet customer requirements. This position also manages quality risks effectively and supports the implementation of smart manufacturing practices.

As a key contributor to Svante's journey toward full commercialization, the Director collaborates with cross-functional teams - including Global Supply Chain, Research & Development, Active Materials Development, Manufacturing, Product and Project Delivery, and Regulatory Affairs - to integrate and align quality processes and goals across the enterprise and throughout the product lifecycle. Additionally, they will be responsible for driving the company's achievement of ISO or other relevant certifications.

About the candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent industry experience, along with proven expertise in leading a Quality Management function. Certifications in areas such as ISO standards, Quality Planning, Lean Six Sigma, Supplier Quality Management, Auditing and Product Development Process are valuable assets.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to addressing climate change, aligning with Svante's core values, while exhibiting exceptional leadership capabilities in both functional and team settings. On a personal level, they must possess strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Effective change leadership, strong relationship-building abilities, and a continuous improvement mindset will be key to driving results and achieving excellence in the role.

Compensation & Benefits:

This role comes with a base salary in the range of CAD $145,000-180,000, along with a competitive benefits package. The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications, skills and experience. Talent Edge and Svante believe in pay equity, fairness and transparency.
