We are seeking an End-of-Line Testing Technician for our client who is a food-service equipment manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and validating the proper functioning of products coming out of the production lines before being distributed to clients. This is a permanent opportunity located in Montreal, QC, and is available immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Test and validate the proper functioning of products coming out of the production lines.
  • Resolve and diagnose problems on electrical systems and components.
  • Resolve and diagnose problems on mechanical systems and components.
  • Resolve and diagnose problems on gas systems and components.
  • Understand and complete quality control lists.
  • Produce detailed reports and analyses on detected problems.
  • Communicate and collaborate with different teams (R&D, manufacturing engineering, production, quality control, etc.) to resolve quality, assembly, reliability or performance issues with our products.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of test procedures.
  • Contribute and participate in the organization and optimization of the work area.

Experience

  • Two or more years of hands-on experience with repairing, assembling or testing of electromechanical equipment and/or appliances is required.
  • Have a post-secondary diploma (such as AEC, DEP or DEC) in electromechanics or equivalent.
  • Master the use of basic test equipment (multimeter, Hi-Pot, etc.).
  • Have strong troubleshooting abilities of mechanical assemblies and machinery as well as electrical components and wiring, leading to accurate diagnosis and resolution.
  • Be fluent in English or French, proficient in written language is an asset.
  • Know the Microsoft Office suite (mainly Outlook and Excel).
  • Be able to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.
  • Experience with gas combustion, Natural and Propane.
  • Job requires walking and standing for the better part of 8 hours per day.
  • Experience and/or training in quality assurance is an asset.
  • Training in health/safety (gas systems) is an asset.
