Part Time Program Support
Working under the direction of the Manager of Recreation Programs and Special Events, the Part Time Program Support role is responsible for supporting programming, drop in programs, and events and assisting in general administration for the Programs and Events Department.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with the Programs Coordinator to book, develop and implement programs for all ages, in various locations across Kingsville.
  2. Respond to emergencies and customer inquiries while ensuring exceptional customer service.
  3. Ensure compliance with the Town and legislated policies and procedures.
  4. Track program statistics and provide summary reports.
  5. Support volunteers and students as they execute programs.
  6. Liaison with program providers as needed.
  7. Assisting residents of the Town of Kingsville on what forms and paperwork they need to provide for funding for Recreation Access Programs. Receive and track forms returned by participants and user groups.
  8. Knowledgeable on ExplorRec software to create, book programs and support participants registering and refunds.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum Community College diploma in Recreation, Leisure, Business Administration or Public Administration.
  2. Over 1 year up to and including 2 years in recreation, leisure or programs delivery and office support.
  3. Knowledge using software packages including ExplorRec, Great Plains, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Cityworks, Laserfiche, Maximum Solutions Booking Software, and GIS Mapping System.
  4. General knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
  5. General knowledge of municipal operations, events, and programs offered
  6. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
  7. Capacity to work under pressure, juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  8. Hold a valid calls "G" license, Smart Serve Training, and has their CPR / Lifesaving.
  9. Trained in High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development

Working Conditions

  • Work is a 20 hour work week.
  • Work is typically performed in both standard offices and outdoor environments with the potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and move items for set-up and take-down up to 50 pounds (display tents, decorations, sound systems, etc.)
  • Requires a need for detail and accuracy.
  • Able to undertake a flexible working hours including most Saturdays and evenings for programs

Wage Rate
$19.99 - $24.98 hour (salary grade 2)
