As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and strategic HR Manager who is CHRP certified and knowledgeable in Canadian labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing HR functions, developing departmental KPIs, compensation plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Experience with labor unions is preferred. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to coach and develop HR specialists, and a deep understanding of HR best practices. The candidate is expected to grow the HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's objectives and goals.

2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant Canadian labor laws, regulations, and standards.

3. Labor Relations: Manage relationships with labor unions, negotiate collective agreements, and resolve labor disputes.

4. Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Develop and implement strategies for employee retention and talent development.

5. Performance Management: Establish and monitor departmental KPIs. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management processes.

6. Compensation and Benefits: Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.

7. Policy Development: Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with legislative requirements and best practices.

8. Training and Development: Design and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of employees. Provide coaching and support to HR specialists.

9. Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

10. HR Administration: Oversee HR administrative functions, including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management.

Requirements:

1. CHRP certification is required.

2. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

3. Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in HR management roles, preferably in the Retail sector.

4. Extensive knowledge of Canadian labor laws, regulations, and standards.

5. Experience in dealing with labor unions and negotiating collective agreements.

6. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to coach and develop HR specialists.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.

9. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

10. Familiarity with Generative AI-Platforms

11. Strong speaker and presenter.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
