MTE Logistix Group of Companies s looking for an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for managing warehouse operations to deliver budgeted net income for the group by driving productivity and efficiency in all warehouse functions.

In addition, this position keeps the client needs in focus for all warehouse teams and delivers on the Company's "flexible client solutions" philosophy. Ensure all company policies are being adhered to and create a positive culture with unwavering adherence to documented warehouse processes.

This position is a teaching role, providing guidance to warehouse supervisors, forepersons and lead hands while delegating responsibility for execution of actions to these positions with the intent to make those positions self-sufficient.

Manage the facilities using an approach of "Elevate, Delegate, Educate."

Location: P14 Warehouse - Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5V 1R6

Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
Direct the warehouse team to provide fast, responsive service in all transactions at a target 100% accuracy goal within time expectations.
Develop / Coach team performance for WH Supervisor/Foreperson/Dispatch/Leads in executing their daily warehouse responsibilities through focusing on:
1. Effective space management, maximizing revenue per square foot
2. Efficient use of time, maximizing revenue per labour hour
3. Maintain high levels of accuracy in all KPI target areas
4. Security and safeguarding of client inventory and all Company assets
5. Enforce proper utilization of systems, standard operating procedures and scope of work definitions.
Drive productivity and efficiency in all warehouse functions
Timely and accurate reporting of Warehousing KPI's and operational measures, along with plans for remedial actions and improvements to operations
Maintain compliance to Company policies, SOPs and SOWs (work methods), ensuring they are understood and; make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Manage Warehouse operations to deliver budgeted net income for the Group. Work with General Managers to provide analysis of results and develop recommendations for improvement.
Partner with HR to ensure effective delivery of learning programs to teach, coach and cultivate excellence in supervision and operational leadership at all levels
Partner with HR for staffing requirements; ensuring strong retention strategies are utilized, all new employees are properly onboarded, and employee reviews are conducted in a timely and effectively manner.
Ensure cohesion between the Warehouse and Customer Service, ensuring efforts are focused to mutually serve the client and their end-user customers with a high level of excellence.
Work with Customer Service to provide fast, responsive service with uncompromised accuracy in all transactions at a target 100% accuracy goal, maintaining excellent relationships and demonstrable values to existing clients.
Provide any assistance required for cycle count and wall to wall physical counts.
Liaise with Customer Service to ensure Company Policies, SOPs and SOWs (work methods) are understood, inspected for compliance and adhered to by warehouse employees.
Work with Client Managers to participate in client reviews as requested. Liaise with Client managers to execute recommendations for remedial actions arising from client facing KPI's and costing reports.
Ensure warehouse performance for 100% WR & BOL accuracy and for 100% on-time completion of work; provide urgent corrective actions and apply preventative actions for continuous improvement.
Teach, coach and develop excellence in warehouse supervision and operational leadership at all levels; ensure that daily and weekly meetings are conducted and inspect that warehouse Managers/Supervisors/Forepersons are communicating efficiently with their teams.
Enforce the RAIDE non-conformance and incident reporting process; ensure corrective and preventative actions are applied and ensure progressive discipline is managed effectively.

General Duties:

Operations and Process
Ensure client requirements are prioritized, and that resources are aligned to achieve expectations.
Monitor daily/weekly activity with warehouse supervisors to ensure work is being completed effectively, hold supervisors accountable with workload planning, make sure all deadlines are achieved
Ensure warehouse supervisors/ forepersons properly consolidate space as needed to maximize warehouse capacity.
Inspect processes such as inventory cycle counting, locator maintenance, appointment log, quarantine log, and claims log and ensure offside issues are investigated and resolved through Warehouse Supervisors
Review financial results for the operation, and provide analysis and recommendations for improvement

People
Develop a competent, knowledgeable and skilled workforce within all operating warehouses, and ensure that employees are enthusiastically challenged to perform at their best.
Ability to create a positive culture through coaching and supportive leadership with unwavering adherence to documented warehouse processes.
Inspect and ensure that manpower cost/ratios are within targets relative to the work volume, and ensure supervisors/forepersons are making necessary adjustments to hours utilized.
Work with the HR department for staffing requirements, ensure strong retention strategies are utilized, and that all new employees are properly oriented and indoctrinated, and that reviews are conducted effectively.
Inspect that all HR practices and policies are observed, understand the requirements of the union CBA, and ensure that warehouse supervisor/foreman are following the guidelines for work assignments, overtime and seniority entitlements.

Facilities, Equipment, and Safety
Ensure adherence to the Safety program to ensure a safe work place; reducing WCB premiums and complying with client required safety criteria.
Oversee the purchasing process, provide approvals as directed by policy limits.
Manage all assets, ensure that support is provided to warehouses for maintenance logs/recaps, inspect that preventive maintenance programs are effective, and provide recommendations for new/replacement assets.
Inspect the maintenance program for all buildings. Ensure that inspections are performed, facility binders are maintained and comply with company standards, and that controls are in place to manage all facility contractors and scheduled maintenance programs.
Uphold housekeeping for property and equipment, and ensure standards set by senior management are met.
Ensure security of building and inventory is maintained at all times. Act on security threats immediately.

General
Prepare and submit all required reports on time and accurately.
Be an advocate for continuous improvement, and provide management with recommendations for changes. Accept direction from management and be the driver for improvement in all areas of the business.
Other tasks, duties and activities as assigned by the General Manager Vice President or President.

Qualifications
Operationally strong with solid business judgement earned through supply chain management experience in previous roles.
5+ years of experience managing in 3PL, supply chain, warehousing, distribution or in a closely related manufacturing or OEM industry segment, with 3+ years of financial management P/L experience.
An education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
