Primary Function

Set up, operate and maintain a CNC router machine for the manufacturing of exterior cladding products.

Reporting to :

Shop Manager, Production Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
Interpret job orders and blueprints to determine the appropriate materials and cutting specifications.
Load raw material sheets onto the machine, clean, and safely store completed parts.
Set up and operate CNC machinery to perform precise machining operations, including cutting and drilling.
Verify the dimensions of machined parts using calipers, tapes, and other precision measuring instruments.
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and machinery to ensure optimal and safe performance.
Input codes specifying speed, feed, and toolpath parameters for CNC machine operations, as necessary.
Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workstation in compliance with safety standards.
Monitor machine operations to detect and rectify malfunctions, adjusting machine settings.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the CNC router machine.
Maintain accurate production records, detailing quantities produced, materials used, and time spent.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and enhance efficiency.
Ensure adherence to quality control standards and procedures.
Perform regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specified requirements.
Communicate effectively with the Shop Manager, Production Coordinator, and team members regarding production progress and any operational challenges.

Employment Requirements:
Prior experience with CNC routers is preferred and considered an asset.
Comply with all on-site and company safety regulations in accordance with the OH&S Act and Regulations.
Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks, including lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Demonstrate a cooperative team-oriented attitude, be proficient in spoken and written English.
Possession of a forklift certification and relevant experience is an asset.

Provide own safety steel toed boots

Working Conditions:

Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 7 am for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Weekend work may be requested.

Exposure to constant noise, moving machinery, sharp edges, dust, and other potential hazards

Fast paced work environment

Strong attention to detail is essential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
