HRIS Business Analyst On behalf of our client in the Education Sector, PROCOM is looking for a HRIS Business Analyst. HRIS Business Analyst - Job Description
The HRIS Business Analyst (BA) will conduct functional reviews with stakeholders, gather requirements, and document business and IT requirements related to the CUPE Local 3902 Unit 1 Job Postings process and service
The BA assesses and analyzes business needs to resolve issues and contributes to the successful selection of a solution by assessing and identifying risks and developing recommendations
The BA will present recommended business solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs and manage the implementation of the selected solution
This position requires a blend of HR and IT expertise, analytical skills, and project management capabilities to ensure the successful execution of this engagement that is tailored to the university's unique needs
Independent judgment is required with minimal direction given by supervisor
The scope of this engagement will include medium to large scale projects/programs with several technologies and/or 3rd parties
Independently lead detailed requirement phases by identifying, tracking, and documenting existing business systems and issues
Seeks input from the business by facilitating sessions
Develop and maintain strong relationship with stakeholders, business partners, and internal/external team members
Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline and optimize processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with university policies and regulations
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, providing insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning
Assess, research, analyze, and document sponsor/stakeholder needs
Create detailed process maps to facilitate requirements gathering, gap analysis, and for training use
Manage project documentation in preparation for the implementation stage of the project
Manage successful implementation of solution within budget and on time by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies
Develop strategic training plan associated with introduction of new/enhanced business processes and/or solutions
Identify risks and develop/recommend mitigation strategies
Identify issues and escalate or manage resolution as required
HRIS Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills
Minimum bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
Proven Business Analyst experience (6 years) in HR analysis, system implementation, or related roles, preferably within the higher education sector
Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA On Premise HCM, SuccessFactors, Workday, PeopleSoft) and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in all/most facets of project lifecycle; strong comprehension of project management methodologies; genuine commitment to project environment and discipline
Experience in identifying and assessing key business processes
Ability to lead discussions on detailed requirement phases identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving business systems issues
Advanced facilitation and presentation skills
Knowledgeable on business process modeling and process mapping
Excellent ability to write clear and well-structured business requirements documents
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations
Ability to quickly learn organizational structure, business strategies and processes
Excellent project management skills, including planning, organization, and prioritization
Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels
Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to resolve minor conflicts/issues using different tactics for prior to escalation
Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and to work successfully under pressure
HRIS Business Analyst- Preferred Skills
Experience at a Higher Education Institution - would be an asset
Business Analyst designation - would be an asset
Experience with SuccessFactors Recruitment - would be an asset
