Our client, located in Toronto, is hiring a Senior Analyst (Valuations) for a long-term contract position

Summary:

Our client has private investment and infrastructure portfolios, exceeding $25 billion, and encompass diverse investments globally. As a Senior Analyst reporting to the Senior Director, you will play a pivotal role in the valuation process for private equity investments, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Responsibilities:

Assist in the review process of Private Equity valuations, including independent valuation models and market research
Review quarterly Limited Partners reports, ensuring fair values and gathering key metrics for our knowledge database
Aid in onboarding new investments into the valuation process, from deal structure understanding to financial update tracking
Support external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to auditor queries
Provide timely responses to queries from Investment Management and assist in reporting requirements

What You Bring:

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or related discipline
Professional designation such as CPA and CBV (or working toward)
5+ years' experience in business valuation, with a focus on private equity
Strong research and financial modelling skills
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
