Axiom Industrial Solutions Inc. is a well-established, market leading industrial contractor in search of Compliance & Risk Auditor for full-time employment . You will join a successful team in leading the food and beverage/manufacturing construction industry.

Job Purpose:

The Compliance and Risk Auditor is responsible for overseeing ongoing audits and ensuring compliance is being met, according to GAAP.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Perform account analysis and reconciliations

- Collaborate with Project Managers to track project costs and budget variances

- Assist in the preparation, setup and maintenance of project budgets

- Provide analytics of the financial status of construction projects

- Preparing & reviewing financial reports for respective projects

- Monitor job performance, provide feedback, and work with Project Managers/Project Coordinators in taking corrective action

- Read & understand project-related contracts to ensure project set up procedures and invoicing are aligned with contract terms & conditions

- Identify & monitor project revenue/cost variances

- Ensure client contracts are being reviewed to meet necessary compliance requirements

- Ensure audits are being completed and appropriately reported

- Work alongside other departments to assess operational risks on a regular basis

- Identify what controls needs to be implemented to mitigate risks, as well as implement audits to ensure risks are being monitored

- Ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures

- Assist external auditors by providing required documentation as requested

Skills And Qualifications

- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or Finance

- Must have 3+ years experience in an audit function

- Must have Jonas construction software experience and advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Strong financial management acumen: advanced knowledge of accounting procedures and protocols, budget administration, financial forecasting, analysis and reporting

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization

- Excellent writing skills in order to write necessary, required reports

- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Excellent time and project management skills

- Experience working with internal and external contacts
