Northumberland Hills Hospital(NHH) is recruiting a GP Anesthesiologist. As a key member of our Surgical Program, you will join a dedicated vibrant group of 6 colleagues. NHH is a 137-bed hospital offering 24/7 in-house general surgery, obstetrics/gyne, ophthalmology, and ENT services. In addition, there is a well established program of visiting surgeons including plastics, dentistry, orthopedics, vascular and urology.

NHH is a rapidly growing hospital with a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit and an expanding Obstetrical program. The Anesthesia Service share on-call and associated responsibilities which cover the OR, the epidural service and also provide strong support for airway management and ventilation in the Emergency Department, Birthing Suites, and ICU.

This position requires an Anesthesiologist to perform a full scope of practice. Interested candidates should be registered (or eligible for licensure) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, be practice-ready, and have either completed an accredited GP Anesthesia program or are FRCP certified. The hospital shall consider applicants that may wish to also practice in other services, such as the Emergency Department and/or the Hospitalist Service.

Remuneration would be based on fee-for-service, and on-call stipend through the Hospital On-Call Coverage Program (HOCC), in addition to local hospital retention program.
