System & Application Administrator

Position Overview:

Lambert Nemec Group, a leading recruitment firm in Manitoba, has been tasked by a dynamic Winnipeg-based company to recruit a System & Applications Administrator .

The Systems & Application Administrator, supervised by the IT Manager, will oversee IT support for the organization, focusing on systems like Office365 and Entrata. Responsibilities include hardware/software setup and maintenance, asset management, network administration, helpdesk support, training, and process improvements. They will also manage and secure system data, define processes for master data, and maintain data records.

The job involves spending extended periods at a desk and performing manual tasks to set up IT equipment.

Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate setup of employee hardware, software, and cell phones.

Oversee inventory of computers, printers, and accessories, including managing refresh cycles.

Administer the Office365 environment, encompassing user setup, formulation and enforcement of security policies, and overseeing the Teams Phone System.

Offer network support, particularly concerning firewall management, data security, and implementing other necessary changes.

Supervise the Help Desk Support ticketing system to guarantee prompt resolution of issues.

Develop and deliver training sessions for the organization, focusing on Office365, Computer Basics, and other essential systems.

Offer advice and guidance to the organization on utilizing computer programs and systems effectively, aiming to streamline processes and minimize manual tasks.

Assist with various IT projects and initiatives as needed, including the implementation of ERP systems.

Manage and safeguard data assets, including maintaining the data warehouse, overseeing master data within the ERP system, and managing SharePoint sites.

Qualifications:

College Diploma/Certificate or University Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with Lean Management practices is advantageous.

Proficient in SQL.

Proficient in Microsoft suite of products.
