Central Québec School Board / Jimmy Sandy Memorial School Are you interested in teaching in a unique First Nations community in northern Québec and embracing cultural differences? The Central Québec School Board may have what you are looking for! With a little over 300 students, Jimmy Sandy Memorial School is currently seeking a Grade 3 teacher interested in sharing their creativity and passion for learning with the Naskapi First Peoples for the 2024/2025 school year. We are currently conducting 20-minute initial interviews and those who are successful will receive invitations for a final in-person interview in Kawawachikamach and visit the community on June 22nd. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to connect with current teachers and take a tour of the town, including our housing facilities, and local amenities such as grocery stores. Please advise the school will cover all travel expenses, and that there are no obligations attached. Those who are unable to travel will have the chance to have their final interview online.
